13.02.2020. According to the state committee of tourism development, in India on February 9, as part of the “Surajkund Mela” festival, was held opening ceremony of the festival of Uzbek national cuisine.
Representatives of embassies and consulates of many foreign countries participated in this event. As it has become known, representatives of the leading Indian travel companies, hotels and restaurants appreciated the Uzbek national cuisine and the concert program, which was organized by artists from Bukhara.
The guests highly valued the Uzbek national cuisine presented at the festival and suggested to increase the number of Uzbek restaurants in India, as well as adding Uzbek dishes to the menu of the existing restaurants.
Moreover, it was noted that due to the continuous promotion of gastronomic tourism, there has recently been an increase in interest in Uzbek cuisine among many foreign restaurateurs and tourists from all over the world.
