The first European-level highway in Uzbekistan

13.08.2019. During the conference on August 13 of this year with the reference to Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov, by the end of 2021, the first European-class tourist highway will be built in Uzbekistan. The highway’s lengths are expected to expand from Khanabad to Muynak, with a branch in Termez.

In connection, a professional group will be assembled and be responsible for efficient achievement of the objectives. The given group will analyze the highway’s route to identify all the problems and the existing infrastructure. Besides, the group will consider and monitor other factors influencing the efficiency of the implementation.

Deputy Prime Minister Abdulaziz Khakimov added: “This will be the first European-level tourist highway in the country. Although the task is challenging and we have to finish it in the next two years, I am sure we can handle it.
